You are the reason we are here! ^ Top   11/14/2009 - Ad Astra two player variant  by  Ad Astra is a fantastic sci-fi game full of space exploration and competition. But some people have asked about the three player requirement listed on the box. Game Shepherd ran through a few test games and we believe we found a fair variant for a two player game. Test it out and see what you think. Let us know if you have any suggestions. First, only a certain combination of color teams can play in the two player game in order to maintain balance. Otherwise, the players might not be able to visit every star system in the game and therefore the game would be unbalanced. Blue - Yellow Brown - Green Yellow - Red Brown - Yellow Blue - Red Green - Blue Green - Red The first seven planning spaces are used in the two player game. The bonus received for having the highest number of items listed on a scorecard is no longer calculated. Everything else in the rulebook is played the same. This variant allows for a great two player game and proves Ad Astra doesn't have to be a three player game to be enjoyed. Go game and try it out. ^ Top   11/04/2009 - The Craze of Twilight  by  Logan I do not really understand it, but I can appreciate a good culture craze. The latest of these is Twilight, something you will not be able to get away from in the next few weeks as the next movie, New Moon, comes out. I have never read the books, so I will not judge, but I know how it is to want to be a part of the craze. A few years back, we all remember Lord of the Rings. After seeing the movies, it reminded me of how much I loved the book as a child. I wanted to capture that somehow. I played and replayed the Lord of the Rings game that came out in 2000. I searched high and low for the original War of the Ring game published back in the 1970s yes, I actually found it. I have been fascinated by the updated War of the Ring and how it was enhanced in every way. Same thing happen with Star Wars definitely a lack of great board games. When I see a World War Two movie, I think about games like Axis and Allies and Tide of Iron. So, yeah, I understand how people want to get involved in the latest movie or book.
